Accessibility statement

What this statement covers

This statement applies to the website lalalust.com and the app view of the same site (added to a home screen). It is published by the operator named in the imprint. Payment pages of our payment provider and the identity check of our verification partner are run by those companies on their own pages; their accessibility is outside our control, and we name them below where we know of limits.

The standard we work to

We test lalalust against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That level is also the web part of the European standard EN 301 549, which the European Accessibility Act refers to.

Where we stand

lalalust is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA: most of the site meets the standard, and the known gaps are listed below. This assessment is our own; it has not been certified by an outside body.

What is built in

• Every page has a “skip to content” link, one main heading and named regions (navigation, main content, footer).
• Everything can be reached and operated with the keyboard. The focused element always shows a clear outline and is not hidden behind the top bar or the bottom tab bar.
• Form fields have names that screen readers announce, and sign-in, password and one-time-code fields let your browser or password manager fill them in. Pasting is never blocked.
• The site follows your device's “reduce motion” setting; you can also switch movement off in your settings.
• Text can be enlarged to 200 % and the layout adapts down to a 320-pixel-wide screen. There is a light and a dark mode.
• The interface is available in 13 languages, including Arabic with right-to-left layout. Each page declares its language, and passages in another language (such as these legal texts) declare theirs.
• Nothing on lalalust uses a countdown to rush a decision. Where time matters (for example the review period after a delivery), the time is written out in words and numbers.

Known limitations

• Content uploaded by creators. Photos and videos are made by the creators. Not every picture has a written description and not every video has captions. Creators can describe their pieces in words; where a description is missing, ask the creator or our support.
• Live sessions. Live video and audio are not captioned.
• Legal documents. These documents are published in English only; a short summary in your language stands at the top of some of them.
• Pages run by partners. The card payment page (CCBill) and the identity check (our verification partner) are not operated by lalalust.
• Administration pages. Internal tools used only by our team are in English and are checked less often than the public site.

How we check

Every release is checked automatically on every page, for every type of account, in several languages — headings, landmarks, form field names, image descriptions, keyboard traps and the language of each page. Colour contrast is calculated from our colour settings for both the light and the dark mode.
